I've always wanted to try the GPS feature on my BCT15X but I've never liked the price tag ($70-80) for a GPS unit. Then late last night I was reading this thread http://forums.radioreference.com/uniden-owner-tech-support/297012-mobile-scanning-gps-question.html , and one of the comments where "Any NEMA compliant GPS device will work as long as it has an output cable with the 9 Pin RS 232 end.". Well, I have a Megellan GPS310 which has a NMEA 0183 output (I dont currently have the cable, but a quick $20 ebay purchase can fix that). So could this GPS work? I like a $20 price tag much better than a $70+ one. I know there is a list of GPS unites that work with Uniden scanners in the Uniden wiki (this GPS not being on the list), but I'm hoping the one I have will work.
