Thank you for the info. There was just a lot of talk going around that it was encrypted.Only one talkgroup (TSU PD) has mode E or e.![]()

That means when they were submitted to the database nothing else was encrypted.
I'm too far away to receive it so I don't know if that's still true.
Thank you for the reply. I live about 5 miles south of down town Granbury. Just ordered the SDS 100 a little bit ago. So hopefully I can start listening again.Been down through Granbury & Stephenville three times in the last couple of months and have listened to the GRRS (in ID search mode) on my SDS100. Aside fom the talkgroup nd5y mentioned, the database is still accurate.
I did pick up activity on a few other talkgroups not currently listed in the database:
1054 - Hood County Fire. Automated dispatch. Remember hearing Station 20 (North Hood County Fire) being dispatched to a call.
1055 - Hood County Fire. Automated dispatch. Can't remember what department was dispatched though.
4008? - I believe the last digit was 8, if I remember correctly. Given the fact that the TG is in the 4000's, I'm assuming that would make it a TG used by TSU. Didn't hear enough information to discern it's exact usage though.
I have not submitted any of the above TG's to the database as I didn't feel I had enough information to confirm their exact usage. And being that I was driving at the time, I couldn't exactly drive and write stuff down at the same time. Not safely anyway... LOL! The information on the TG's above is based solely on my interpretation of what I heard on my scanner at the time. And of course some basic deduction of who and what was being dispatched.
And like nd5y, I can't pick the up the GRSS from my home location. At home I have the SDS200 connected to an external antenna that's inside my house. The Hood County Simulcast site has a tower in between Granbury and Cresson, which from my location just outside of Keene (Johnson County) I would think I should be able to hit that tower. I can pick up other trunked systems (Parker County as one example) from my house that are further away, but for some reason it's a no go for the GRRS.
I ended up buying a uniden sds 100 and have tones of traffic. Fire EMS are really active. Sheriff is active as well but not heavily like it used too be. I also had the bcd 436 and 536 as well but no traffic at all on those. Was told Granbury is a Simulcast system and very few scanners do that. The SDS series is one that doesTo give an up to date report on the Granbury Regional Radio Network, I have programmed it into my Whistler 1065 and my Uniden BCD436HP. I have only heard a garbled transmission every now and then on the SO channel. I know when the were still transmitting on 153.89 they were always busy, especially EMS calls. Now they are not on 153.89 and have migrated to the GRRN. I programmed straight from RadioReference and I'm surprised I'm not hearing traffic. Hopefully it is a small but important detail that I'm missing but I haven't found it yet. I live in Glen Rose so getting a signal shouldn't be an issue. Anyone else experiencing the same silence?
I have been scanning the system since December 28 and no hits as of yet on the Glen Rose site!I don't think the Glen Rose site is being used by anyone at this time (could be wrong though) . Last time I was through Hood & Erath counties (back in Dec) all radio traffic was on either the Hood County Simulcast site or Stephenville site. Glen Rose was still using their 400mhz P25 conventional frequency.
There's definitely activity on the system. I heard Hood County Fire Dispatch as well as Texas EMS. Occasionally Stephenville.
I logged two additional TG's not listed. Both appear to be used by Hood County Fire Dispatch based on radio traffic. One TG was 1054 and the other 1055.
Did you program your radio with the Radio Reference database? I have two different scanners programmed and I'm not hearing anything but garbled transmission.I don't think the Glen Rose site is being used by anyone at this time (could be wrong though) .
