Has anyone figured out how to get the system working in a scanner that trunks properly? I have 5 frequencies that are active for it:

451.325
451.725
451.9375
463.65
463.975
All are Color Code 1 and all show as XPT on my BCD436HP. In conventional, they have all picked up different talkgroups and User ID's, but when I program it as a DMR Trunked system and run the LCN finder, it NEVER comes up with all of them, and it seems like each time I run lcn finder, the channels show a different lcn than the preveous run. The strange thing is that all 5 frequencies seem to always have a beacon like that of a CAP system, it's like all 5 frequencies are acting as the rest channel.

then there's the weird talkgroup numbers, on the 436HP, I get normal talkgroup numbers of 3,4,5,etc. But on the TRX-1, I get talkgroup numbers like 1048578, which after running it thru a dec-to-hex converter comes out to 100002. I also get 2097153 (200001), 3145731 (300003), 4194306 (400002), and 5242882 (500002). I have about 50 of these talkgroups on the TRX-1, and all frequencies can display any of them. I thought 5 frequencies, 5 different possible talkgroups, but that's not the case.

I have tried to program the 5 frquencies into a DMR one frequency system with all 5 programmed, and also 5 different DMR one frequency systems, and both of them do not pick up a thing. When I program them into a normal DMR Trunk system with all LCN's at 0, I get bits and pieces of it, but nothing how it should work.

I live here in Gulfport and only get into the area about once a week, and usually run the LCN finder in the car for several hours at a time, but there is no pattern emerging. If anyone is closer to the Biloxi Grand, maybe you can check it out and see what I might be doing wrong. I've worked on this system trying to figure it out now for over a year, with not much luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Does the 5 freq show DMR CAP+ CON+ on the screen on the 436? possible each freq might be a different site if trunk?

No, it shows XPT for all 5 frequencies. I might try setting it up as a normal DMR trunked system, but then put each frequency into a separate site. But then I'm back to the weird LCN numbers again.

I forgot about XPT I never seen a system yet around me or when I go certain places to visit. Make sure you got the correct color code for each freq.

Ahh an Hytera XPT system. You can have multiple TG's per a freq, its not like an FDMA system. XPT is still DMR and TDMA with 2 slots per freq. XPT's are not used as much as MotoTRBO and other formats so will make a learning experience. Drop the TRX as it can't properly trunk track any DMR or NXDN.

The TRX-1 is about the only way I can monitor it reliably, even though it doesn't trunk, since it doesn't require LCN's. About the only way to hear it on my 436 is to program all 5 frequencies into conventional, but then I can't program talkgroups and radio ID's. I tried programming all 5 frequencies into a regular DMR trunked system and added 5 sites, 1 for each frequency, leaving all LCN's at 0. I haven't been close enough to monitor it yet, but should be there for a while in the next few days. All frequencies have been verified as color code 1.

For the 436 you need to program them in a DMR One Frequency. You can add all 5 of the freq and color code

I tried that, setting it up as a OFT system with all 5 frequencies, and also tried setting it up into 5 separate OFT systems with 1 frequency per system, and didn't hear a peep out of any of them.

Well, after much testing, I found a way to get most of the transmissions. I set-up a DMR trunked system with each frequency in a separate site, with 0 for the LCN's, and then added all the known talkgroups and radio ID's. This way it picks up the most of all setups I've tried, but I would say it picks up about 75-80% of the conversations. So I guess I will go for that.
