Grand County dispatching Search and Rescue and EMS resources to MM 241 on Berthoud Pass. That's near the top on the Grand County side.

Reports of two skiers trapped in an avalanche. That is an assumption of the numerous 911 callers who say two people set if off and there are no tracks out of the slide.

Updates as I get them. Nearest members are in Winter Park. About 20 minutes away.

CDOT now responding as well so the slide might have crossed Hwy 40. No official resources on-scene yet.

CDOT is reporting the highway is NOT affected.

SAR now confirms that "Mines One and Two" have slid. At least one set of tracks have no exit out of the slide.

That's Mines Peak on the east side of the pass. Lots of radio and microwave relay and transmission gear atop the mountain.

Flight for Life en-route and might be picking up a rescue dog in Frisco.

Also USFS is responding.

SAR has conducted multiple interviews with skiers in the area and no one is missing anyone so far. The area is very busy with ski traffic. So far so good.
