Thanks

Maybe I did not ask the question tha right way. I have a paid membership and have purchased Butel Software for my scanner (BCD-396T) and am able to download the Grand Prairie system and groups into my scanner.

What I am trying to ask and again I may use the wrong terms. Is listen to Police calls they use terms link Signal ##. How do I find out what these signals mean? I have done a google search and found some lists of 10-## codes.

Do different cities use different codes or are their standards?

Sometimes the signal/code lists are similar between cities, but usually there is no standard list that everybody uses. I can't guarantee that this list is published anywhere, but your best bet is to find someone else who monitors GP and has either complied their own signal list, or has obtained one from someone "in the know."
Wish I could help more...

This page: http://www.bearcat1.com/radiotx.htm

has 10- codes and signals for Dallas, Arlington, Fort Worth...but not GP. However, when I listen to GP I have no problem knowing what they are referring to, so I suspect that they either use the same codes as Arlington or they call out in clear language. I'll listen some tomorrow...

Oh, and I believe the GP preload might be missing the EMS dispatch TG, so you might want to add that one.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dfwscan is a very active group of scanner users in the DFW area. Another great local resource is Ben Saladino's pages at: http://www.bensware.com/scandfw/
