Location should be off Saginaw in Southeast Grand Rapids , just north and west of 28th and Breton SE

Some of the 4-story 250x150 building was still on fire at the 11 o'clock hour. The roof slowly and stubbornly burned away on the entire complex. The north half of the complex had fire down to ground level in some spots. The SW section alone had 5 lines including 2 aerials spraying it for hours but it refused to die. Two other active fires spread slowly from W to E with the wind from apartment to apartment all the way to the end.
GRFD, Kentwood, Wyoming, and Grandville were on the scene. East GR, GR Twp, Walker, Plainfield, Cascade, Ada, Caledonia, and Ottawa Co Canteen also assisted or stood by. GR also had a small fire in the NW quadrant and a trash can caught fire on the sixth floor of a building downtown while this fire was ongoing. Their hydrant pressure was maxed, frostbite had been an issue all night, and they were working on on-site refueling.

It was really something to listen to. Initial resources were used to safely evacuate the numerous residents, saving multiple lives. The fire "got away" before enough helped arrived to try and contain it.
