For Kent County, I see Fireground North/South but nothing says what's in each. Is there a map breakdown? If I want to hear tone outs and dispatch for GRFD, which do I want? Do I need Fire Dispatch under Grand Rapids City or the Fireground North/South?
So Fire North, East and West are used for everything other then the city of Grand Rapids. The city of Grand Rapids will stick to GRFD Channels unless enroute or on scene of an out of city mutual aide call. To answer your other question the Fire Department channels are broken up as such:
West - Byron, Cuttlerville, Grandville and Wyoming
South
East - Ada, Alto, Caledonia, Cascade, Dutton, East Grand Rapids, Grand Rapids Township, Kentwood and Lowell
North - All other Agencies in Kent County
Kent County generally uses the city or townships fire channel for on scene ops if needed. Kent County also uses paging through MPSCS, so they page through the agencies paging talk group, no more tones.
For Ottawa County, I see North and South Fire Dispatch as well as individual city "OPS", what do each do?
Ottawa County divides the north and south pages as well. OPS are generally uses like foregrounds.
