Grand Traverse county 911 dispatch put to the max today

The dispatcher just told all FD's that they are at a critcal situation and until they get more help to handle calls keep traffic to a minamal except if it is life or death.

Are you guys still having issues with high wind up there its a little windy down here but nothing major

Yep Grand Traverse/Leelanau/Kalkaska counties getting hit very hard by winds.

What is the major issue downed power lines or roads impassable.

Both power lines and trees down causing roads to be shut down some power co are saying up to a 4hr wait to get to the scene.
