Anyone ever use a graphic equalizer to tailor sound quality of a scanner or shortwave receiver? If so, give me an idea on how to set things up; i.e. mono output of a radio into the stereo input of an equalizer. Thanks, as always!

Hey... interesting idea!

I suppose, if you could find a equalizer that accepts speaker level inputs instead of requiring line level inputs like most do these days, it should work. Something like the old bolt it under the dash amp/eq units.

Beig mono isn't a problem. You could run it to both channels and out to 2 speakers, or just wire it to 1 channel and out to 1 speaker and shut the other side off by turning the balance full over to the side you have wired.

Or... maybe wire 1 radio to left, another to right ??

Hmmm.... i'll have to go excavating in my garage and see if I don't still have one of those out there.!

Have Fun!
