Listened since first tone out an Air 5 dnr aircraft on scene numerous TG active will post tomarrow. local news now reprts 3600 acres. most of Grayling was in power Blackout towards evening, Munson hosp wasnt eccepting ems traffic till now 9:15 pm, Will prob me steady DNR an Aircraft traffic Sunday. 9 and 10 news .com or upnothlive .com

Tg's used searching lovells tower during fire 4067 88 hits, 1033 143 hits, 6028 26 hits numerous others , Chinook helo dropping water from Billings Flying Service staged in gaylord tail #N562AJ

They also had a lot going on using VHF hi-band tac 3 and 4. 4125, 4067, h event 23(county), 26, 28, 29.
DNR Spotter Planes (Air 5 and 6), USFS Air Attack command plane, Fire boss's x4, Trooper 4 UH-1, Chinook (billings).
Grayling didn't get power back until this afternoon.

Local news claimed DNR said fire was 3600 last night NOW the story is its 2400 , DNR PIO says same ? either way it was/is bad. What was the VHF freqs?

Wish i could've been listening to this. It would've been interesting. I went on Flightradar24.com & looked at Saturday's playback to see how many of the aircraft were being tracked. Here is what I found.

06-03-23
N6275S Cessna 182T, DNR spotter plane. On scene, 01:20pm.
N364WA Rockwell 690B spotter plane. On scene, 02:10pm. Flying out of Gaylord.
N846DA Air Tractor AT-802A. FB216, Fire Boss? On scene, 02:12pm. All Air Tractors were stationed from Gaylord.
N802DA Air Tractor AT-802A. FB217, Fire Boss? On scene, 02:12pm.
N562AJ CH-47 Chinook. On scene, 02:17pm. Flying out of Gaylord. According to FR24 it's been in Michigan since May 15th.
N717DA Air Tractor AT-802A. FB207, Fire Boss? On scene, 03:45pm.
N831DA Air Tractor AT-802A. FB219, Fire Boss? On scene 03:45pm.
N392AC Canadair CL-215-6B11. SCPR261. Marquette to Oscoda, 04:20pm. On scene from Oscoda, 08:10pm.
N386AC Canadair CL-215-6B11. SCPR262. Marquette to Oscoda, 04:20pm. On scene from Oscoda, 08:57pm. Both departed for Marquette at 09:30pm.
N44NC Rockwell 690B spotter plane. Flying out of Gaylord.

I was surprised that that the State Police UH-1 N768ST wasn't showing on FR24.

N5101U (182T) DNR was there for a bit as well.
They have public tracking blocked on N768ST.
There may have been some blackhawks and/or CH-47's from the national guard with bambi buckets involved as well. I also saw a CH-47 (Guard) with a bambi bucket over Grayling yesterday mid-day, it was heading towards KGOV.
The AT-802A's are the Fire Boss's.

You may have been able to hear them, I know I did here on Event channels 24 & 26 as those were very active, DNR Tac 6.

You could have been listening to Northern Lower Peninsula DNR Fire that carried a majority of the communications taking place
in the coordination of resources to fight this fire with as many as 2914 listeners at one time on Saturday.
