I have a six month old GRE 600 scanner, and it has intermittently cut out since it was new. It will lose audio for about 1 second, no matter how strong or weak of a signal. It does this every 10 to 15 seconds when someone is talking. the loss is not too objectionable, but it is annoying. I expect a little more of a $500 scanner. Has anyone noticed this happening on their scanner? Any ideas? It makes understanding what is going on when you miss part of the conversation.

Sounds like you might have the weather priority turned on. You can check this by pressing PGM, F3 (GLOB), and then scroll down to the WXPri option. If that's not set to Off, use the left or right arrow key until the word Off appears, then press F1 to save your configuration.

Thanks for your help, doghausdev and Mikey60. I had both turned on, and turning them off fixed the problem. Wow, what a difference--I can hear all the conversations now. Once again, thanks.
