gre-600 volume control

I own 2 gre-600 scanners( also a 500) and thoroughly
enjoy all of them.
I know the subject of the 600's volume control has been addressed in the past.
My question to the group is --- does anyone have any experience to share concerning locating a parts supplier
or the actual replacement of the volume control on the 600's.
