I'd like to be wrong here but, I suspect all the "hype" is going to amount to alot of nothing.... other than perhaps GRE's own version of the Pro-107.... maybe with digital; maybe not.
I am dissapointed that there was not anything "new" released by GRE. This is what - about 2 years since the 500/600 came out. You would think that in that period of time, the engineers could have come up with something. At least have brought out the iScan in digital.....
Added - So other than the case color and the display color - are there any major differences between the '700 and the '107???

As predicted in the original thread:

I feel pretty....

Time for Uniden to step up and show us jaded scannerheads something that will blow away GRE. What about it UPMan?????????
Larry
Uniden just came out with the new XT's last spring/summer so I don't think we will see anything new for another year or two from them.
I know that the new XT's came out last year Please Read: firmware updates that include Mototrbo and Nexden. A lot of agencies near me are planning on going to either of those for their conventional VHF frequencies. I know that there isn't a lot out there yet, but, as evident in this sticky....there is a need for these to be included in our scanning stables
