Gre Psr 500 Car Adapter

Does anyone know where and or what type of car cord I can get for my Psr 500? Preferably with a cigarrette lighter plug?

it doesnt make a difference that the RS cable is 1000 mA, while the supplied AC adapter is only 500 mA, does it? scanner only requires 500 mA too.

Over current (within some degree) will not hurt anything. 1000mA vs 500mA is not a problem. Now if that were reversed, things would not work right. Charging probably would not take place, etc.

if you look, the MA it says on the power supply device is the MAX it can do.
And in the sanner manual it should say how many it needs, Most want atleast 300 ma. So you want to get one that does the same or more than what your scanner says.

I know my Pro 96 says atleast 300 and the wall cord I got from Radio Shack said it will do upto 900.
I manual for the 500 does show 500mA
