Why weren't these VHF-Low, VHF-High and UHF public safety pool frequency bands included in the public safety search feature? In Arizona, several channels in the 150.9950-151.4750 range are used by police and fire.

From 54-108 MHz, you'll find TV channels 2-6 (now gone with the digital switch), the VHF-Midband, and the FM broadcast band. The only thing of any real potential interest to scanner listeners would have been the 72-76 MHz VHF Midband, but it was never to my knowledge, included in any scanner. Some communications receivers may include it, however. (A communications receiver is basically a shortwave radio that has coverage up to 3GHz give or take. Icom's IC-R9000 for example.)

The old Radio Shack Pro-2004 covered 25 MHz - 520 MHz and 760 MHz - 1300 MHz. It was my first base scanner and is still doing a fine job on WFM, NFM and AM.

It is non-trunking, regretfully, and analog and can still be found occasionally on eBay..

Fortunately, GA
All newer Unidens, with the exception of the 346, receive in that range. My 396XT does. Communications receivers and ham radios do also.
