GRE PSR 500 Heap Erorr

I have a GRE PSR 500. Whenever i turn the scanner on i recieve a heap message and the code is 21DB1F:21E2. I try to reset the unit by pressing the #0 then the #1 right after turning the unit on but the heap error message comes on as soon as i touch any button. Any idea how to reset it?
