Ok so I am new to scanning and have been reading a bunch. I understand that GRE makes the Pro-96 for radio shack? So is the new PSR-500 going to be the latest and greatest new handheld scanner. How will it compare to the Pro-96? Will it have even more features and memory banks? Any info you can provide is appreciated. Thanks for helping a newbie!

Check the threads on the new GRE. lts been a hot topic, alot of members have preordered them, I think there supposed to be out the middle of the month. A little time for everyone to figure them out and for GRE to work out any bugs. And Im sure it s goin to be interesting. Hoser

From what I've read so far, it looks like the PSR-500 is going to be a PRO-96 killer.

Probably will, but I'm not giving up my 96 and 2096 until there is a Starrsoft product available for the PSR-500 and 600 that will do for them what Win96 does for the 96 and 2096.
