hi i recently bought a psr-500 scanner and i cant get it to connect to my computer so i can use radio referance to program it

You have to set the serial port, that your adapter is configured for, in your programming software.

Look in Device Manager for USB Serial Port (COM#) under Ports (COM & LPT)

What software program are you using?

in order to download from RR database, you need to use one of the programming softwares out their such as WIN500, PSREdit....there are free ones out there also
