In your message you said nothing about the SCAN button try that & make sure you have the objects and systems assigned to a Scanlist..the default is scanlist 1 and have those activated

When you turn on the scanner. After it comes on press the scan button. Then press one of the numbers that are 1234567890. When you press one of those number it will either start scanning or say nothing enabled meaning nothing is programmed in there. Ihave the Pro 106 it's not like the PSR 600 but it programs the same way pretty much.

Same difference. Have the 106 and 197. Try one of the scanner programs for the GRE's: Win500, PSREdit500 and download the scanner into the software. It will let you know exactly what is programmed and where it is. You will need the USB cable that came with the radio too.

Oslo,

Oh no! Whatever the case, please don't forget all your great "manual" advice you provide. I wouldn't know where to go for key presses on my 106 in an emergency.

I'll still give advice. Maybe I'll make manual for each State on how to program their Pro 106 in detail the best I can in lamens terms but then you got figure out what state and each county in the state what type of system they use.
