Why does it take an insane amount of time to program the scanner? Even if I make a couple of small changes when I go to program my scanner it takes five minutes. Can anybody explain this to me? Am I doing something wrong?

In EZ Scan? Even for a small change, EZ Scan re-uploads the entire configuration to the scanner by design. Using an external SD card reader may shorten times a bit.
