GRE America? Nope. I bet some Australian company bought it counting on GRE America paying them big bucks to get the domain back. Boy are they in for a surprise. :)

Once Whistler bought the rights to the radios, it was pretty much a matter of time. GRE America tried to do the right thing and support the products when GRE just up and abandoned them, but with Whistler in the picture, the need disappeared.

Nobody has picked it up. It expired yesterday and there is a grace period. The Austrailian company referenced is the registrar that was used by GRE America. It is common practice to ransom an expired domain for late renewal fees or to offer it for sale. It should be released back to the available list within a few months to a few years depending on how certain they are they can make money off of it.

Public Domain Registry was their registrar. If you read the top of the GRE America placeholder page, it says it expired at 0500 on 12/26/2014. It is currently in the grace period phase, whether or not they are going to hold on to it for a year is anybody's guess.

Restoring a Deleted Domain Name from the Redemption Grace Period

EDIT: a better FAQ page for this particular page

http://manage.publicdomainregistry.com/kb/servlet/KBServlet/faq601.html They auto renew it for a year and lock it, but will only hold it exclusively for the current owner for 36 days

I have copies of all the PSR-500/600 CPU/DSP updates and I believe all of the PSR-800 updates officially released on the GRE website for download if anyone should require them.

I started a Yahoo Group some time ago to host some of these files for those that require them until a more permanent solution is available. Currently, only the last official updates for the PSR-500/600 (non-Canadian and Canadian) are on this group.

EZScanDGInstall_v1.08, (40 Mb in size) for the PSR-800 I believe is still being hosted by another member at the following link: http://www.lifenliberty.com/GRECOM.zip.

Why not just put them in the FILES section of the regular scanner groups?

On second thought, they are likely already there.

I'm not seeing that here, but maybe it simply has not propagated through the DNS servers yet.

I was on a tablet that had never been to the site before. Just tried it from a third computer, on a third network, with the same results
