Heard a great chase on 154.80 today as a Pawnee County deputy was in pursuit. Great because he caught the (drug lab operator to be) without anyone getting hurt. The chase started in Cleveland south on state highway 64 to interstate 412 where the crook, in a four wheel drive pickup left the highway, crossed the grass onto the south access road.
The deputy raced to the next exit and came back down the access road to intercept and found the truck abandoned in the ditch full of materials to start a meth lab. Shortly afterwards the suspect was caught.
I thought the deputy did an outstanding job of controlling his vehicle at 120 mph on highway 64, keeping everyone advised of what was going on and not letting this creep escape. Cleveland PD assisted as well as Penninsula VFD.
