Great VHF Band Opening

There has been a good band opening going all day and it has gotten better since sunset. Seems I am getting a direct pipeline into southwestern Kentucky. Getting over 200 miles on this opening. I've also had a pipeline to Shelby County, Indiana all day long some 105 miles to my west.

Time to log some new info for the rr database.

I had a lot of fun last night. I'm in Central Ohio, and I heard VHF stations from all over the place. 146.520 had a pileup, and I heard a NY station on 144.200 USB. Later, I heard 444.300/R from Kent (I think?) coming in almost full quieting on my handheld on the desk!

I was picking up Detroit FD & Calhoun County, Michigan Fire Dispatch with my PRO-96/stock antenna from Ashtabula Last night.

Back atcha, Ohio !!! I'm about 40 miles northeast of Detroit and my weather radio alert went off for a thunderstorm warning for Fayette Co out of your Wilmington WSO.....gotta love band openings !!!
