What I Logged Today

56718-Agree with Dave Independence PD Dispatch. I heard testing then later in the day full time dispatching. Probably can submit this in a day or two.

56723-Cuyahoga Valley Dispatch (936) Includes Cuyahoga Heights, Brooklyn Heights
Valley View and Newburg Heights PD’s. Whats new here is that Cuyahoga Valley is now dispatching for Newburg Hts. Just like IPD heard testing in the AM then full time dispatching.

56702-Independence FD testing only.

56569-Collinwood High School.

Cuyahoga Valley, still a work in progress.

Here's what things look like to me, based on yesterday and todays monitoring.

The Cuyahoga Valley Communities are now setup into two Dispatch groups. They are or will be, Satellite Sites of the Chagrin Valley Dispatch Center.
The first group is: Cuyahoga Heights Dispatch: Brooklyn Hts., Cuyahoga Hts., Newburgh Hts. and Valley View.
The second group is. The Independence-Brecksville Dispatch Center: Brecksville, Broadview Hts., Independence and Seven Hills. The dispatch center is still being built.

Broadview Hts. PD and FD have been on GCRCN for a while.

It got highlighted in the last week when I combined everyone under a single category.

Had there been any traffic on 56572 prior to everyone moving to 56718? Is there anything on it now?

Not sure if there was any traffic on 56572 prior to Independence switching from the VHF system. But they are 100% using 56718 currently as their main dispatch. I personally have not picked up any traffic on 56572 this week while listening to the new Cuyahoga Valley TG's.

i know the radio company who did the programming he said 56572 was used for testing at the time everyone is on 56718 PD-1.56719 PD-2.56720 PD-3 Cuyahoga Heights PD on 56723 as PD-1 and 56724 is Cuyahoga Heights PD-2 also 56725 is Cuyahoga Heights PD TAC-1 also i have NOT Submit these came from my Radio Friend

Back in 2014 Independence received several loaner radio's from Cleveland to test the GCRCN system in their community. Talk Group 56572 was used for the testing. When the testing was completed, the loaner radio's were returned.

Since then there has been occasional traffic on 56572. Some of it in the clear, but most encrypted. Typically what was in the clear was surveillance. None of what I heard was from Independence.

I don't know what RR's policy is regarding temporarily loaned out or abandoned Talk Group's. But, since 56572 is currently an Unknown, I'd think that you should consider removing it from the database.

I logged quite a bit of traffic from TG 56731 today. Could be University Circle PD or UH hospital security or a combination of both? I did hear dispatch calling unit 8310 and 8312. I believe 83XX are UCPD units but I could be wrong. I have not monitored them in awhile.

Excellent point. If you recall, we had discussions here about adding talkgroups before agencies switched over. We had a bunch of stuff between GCRCN and MARCS-IP that was adding when someone was testing, but the talkgroup never got used.

After that whole discussion, we've been more cautious about adding "testing" talkgroups. This talkgroup (56572) was added before that time. Based on your history of how it came about, it is safe to remove. It falls into the "remove info with unconfirmed use" category.

Your post looks like it got a little jumbled together.

TG 56725 is CH PD 3 and is a TAC channel

TG 56727 is CH PD 4 and is a Talk channel, which will be used for Car to Car traffic.

It looks like the CH Dispatch Group is keeping the same format they had on VHF. Channel 3 was TAC and Channel 4 was car to car Talk.

This Morning Cuyahoga Hts Police called 56725 CH-3 nothing of being called TAC Channel. then was told go to CH-4 then talking was on 56727 and it was called Car-2-Car Sorry for my mix up
