No more 900 MHz!

Praise the Lord. Never heard the 900 System clear even when in University Circle area. Now getting 100 + hits a day clear off GCRCN.

I have been monitoring 56569-Collinwood High School and have received a 'busy' signal every time. It is encrypted based on my monitoring.

I see new RIDs 1863967, 1863977 and 1863978 on Broadview Hts PD TG 56698. I heard "radio service'" testing a few times. Could these be Independence PD since they used 3900s units or new radios for B'view Hts.

While it's possible I doubt it. For two reasons.

1st: Based on what I've monitored, I haven't seen a correlation between Unit numbers and RID numbers. Brooklyn Hts: 23xx. Cuyahoga Hts: 29xx, Independence: 39xx, Newburgh Hts: 51xx, Valley View: 73xx.

2nd: Independence as well as Brooklyn Hts. Cuyahoga Hts, Newburgh Hts and Valley View all moved to digital at the same time. Broadview Hts has been full time digital for a while. If I'm not mistaken the only two departments that haven't done a full change over are Seven Hills and Brecksville. One of those would be my guess.

Along those lines, from what I've monitored some RID's are in groups and others appear to be randomly assigned.

I read somewhere that BVHPD was getting some new cars. Maybe these are new radios for them. Or not.
I never heard the unit RIDs - I just logged them - but I did hear radio tests. I think you're right they are not other agencies.

In other news GCRCN signal has been bad for several days - maybe a week on both the WS1065 and BCD996P2. Something has changed.

It could be changes in the weather or an issue at a tower. In general terms where are you located? May be others in your area can check their signal strength.

Over the past several weeks I have recorded 3 series of radio ID's for this Talkgroup.-

1862534-589

1862782-799

1862804 & 1862806

Will have to pay attention to see who (Brecksville-Independence) is using what. I am guessing the 804 & 806 are dispatch RID's.

I've identified RID 1862558 as Independence PD so that group probably all is and the 782-799 is likely Brecksville although I stopped logging.

Has anyone figured out the Radio ID's for Brecksville Fire. The RR WIKI has some departments identified but no Brecksville.

The main campus in University Circle. Will be submitting.

Well to the best of my knowledge there are only three public schools and one joint vocational school in the Cuyahoga Valley.

Public (preschool to 12th grade) schools: Brecksville, Cuyahoga Hts. and Independence. The Cuyahoga Joint Vocational School.

Since it's an emergency school TG, it most likely won't be used a lot and will probably be tough to catch any traffic.
