Greeley 4 day standoff continues, as paged

Police presence near the 2600 block of 25th Avenue has been significantly scaled back, but the standoff with Jacob Powell has not reached a conclusion.

Since Sunday, much of 25th Avenue between 27th and 26th streets had been closed, and officers armed with rifles were watching the home where Powell had barricaded himself inside. On Wednesday, 26th Avenue was open to traffic and there was not a patrol cruiser in sight.

The Greeley police were ordering him over loud speaker last night for hours to come out and surrender to the police as they have a warrant to search the house and for his arrest. He did step into the doorway and possibly outside temporarily however retreated back into the house. The last I heard they were sending in a robot around 11 PM. Not sure how it ended...
