Greeley fire is now using talkgroup 9001 for fire dispatch. The remainder of Weld county remains on talkgroup 1907.

Good catch. Unfortunately that will end the ability to hear Greeley Fire calls at work for me.

Wow...put the scanner away for a couple weeks and look what happens! I am also curious to find out also if they have changed the lineup...in otherwords, are they going to be getting thier own group of talkgroups like was originally planned? Kind of funny in a way...it was originally planned that UCFRA would have a Dispatch talkgroup and something like 4 Firegrounds and all the other Weld FD's would have a Dispatch talkgroup and something like 4-6 Firegrounds.

Hmmmmm.......very interesting. :)

Yes it is. GPD rarely shows up on the Bald Mountain site which is the only one I can receive at the daytime job so it would likely be the same with GFD.

Also caught tonight Greeley Fire "Channel 2" is Weld FG-2 1908.

dedicated FG's

...Greeley Fire "Channel 2" is Weld FG-2 1908.

Several of the Weld FG's have been permanently assigned for quite a while now-
FG-2 1908 as stated is Greeley Fire
FG-4 1910 is Windsor Fire
FG-6 1921 is Evans Fire
FG-8 1923 is Fredrick Firestone Fire
FG-10 1925 is Fort Lupton Fire

Apparently the 'big' departments are to busy to be bothered with variable fire ground channels.
(was that my out loud voice?)

Some folks may consider those absolutes but I would keep all 12 FG's in the scanlist

There's a pattern of sorts true however when things hit the fan dispatch puts incidents on any open FG group.

Windsor still has an option with 4073 and 4074 groups assigned to them.

Fredrick Firestone uses 9011 (Old Tri-Area) as a "company" TG.

North Colorado Mutual Aid Groups are also a factor.

never suggested any of the 11 fire grounds (there is no FG-1) be removed from anyones list

I only have the opportunity to listen to Weld fire TG's for about 45-65 hours a week and the only times I've heard other agencies assigned to preassigned FG's is during auto/mutual aid situations. Although, I have heard the big 5 assigned one of the odd numbered FG's when they ask for one. Certainly any talk group can be assigned at anytime for any use, assuming the unit assigned the TG has that TG in their radio.

Windsor still has an option with 4073 and 4074 groups assigned to them.
Windsor also has the Larimer County mutual aid TG's in their radios (4054,4055,4056) something not all Weld agencies bordering Larimer have, but probably should.

Fredrick Firestone uses 9011 (Old Tri-Area) as a "company" TG.
Those guys still show up on their simplex VHF channel also - 154.13

North Colorado Mutual Aid Groups are also a factor.
as are the WINTAGs, SIMPLEX1 (channel 16, all zones in every fire radio in the county), and Weld fire admin 1-3 (1956,1957,1958).

That said Phil, I have been using your lists in some form or another since the days of dial-up BBS's. And I very much appreciate your hard work and attention to detail that you put into keeping all the information accurate and up to date, THANK YOU!

I was thinking of scanner listeners in that post. The pro's on them know better than us armchair listeners I agree. FG 2-12 yeah I missed that.

I'm not as sharp as I used to be. I think "old age and treachery" is slowly starting to set in.
