An 18-year-old woman was shot to death at Island Grove Regional Park Sunday evening.

Police offered limited details late Sunday evening, but she was killed in what appeared to be a gang-related shooting shortly after 9 p.m.

Late Sunday officers were still searching for two teenagers as suspects in the case.

The woman was shot in the head. She was rushed to North Colorado Medical Center but died from her injuries shortly after arriving. Officers were called to the hospital on a disturbance after family members gathered there, but nothing serious erupted.

The shooting took place in the center drive of the park at least halfway between the arena and the south entrance of the park.

Officers responded to a 911 call from bikers camping out for Thunder in the Rockies on a fight with bottles and a shots fired. Officers arrived a minute later and found the teen on the ground bleeding from the head.

Police stopped cars driving away from the scene and got descriptions of witnesses but received limited information about the car where the suspects escaped, gathering that it was only a dark vehicle.

The bikers who witnessed the shooting did not give their names. They said they called 911 after they heard a few shots fired by a heavy-set male about 6 feet tall. The bikers said they saw the man fire two shots and then walk toward a group of people gathered for cruising around Island Grove. The man fired several shots in the crowd.

The witnesses said they didn't know if the man was aiming for the young woman, but they did say he appeared to be attempting to hit someone in the crowd.

Officers were withholding the name of the victim pending notification of the family.

Gettiing to be an unfortunate routine up here. We're elbows with these losers.

No surprise limited info released to the media. Family was at NCMC at pronouncement. Lots of witnesses. Gang officers have some idea who the bad guy is. Step son was working in the area at the time this all happened. It was real busy on the nextel last night.

(AP) GREELEY, Colo. Police arrested four people early Tuesday as part of their investigation into the slaying of an 18-year-old mother at a Greeley park over the weekend.

Jorge Zamora, 23, and Carlos Valenzuela, 18, were arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder, police spokesman Sgt. Joe Tymkowych said.

Also arrested as alleged accomplices were Enrique Ramirez, 20, and Barbara Sue Salinas, 18, police said.

Sylvia Santillan, a mother of a 2-year-old girl and 10-month-old boy, was shot Sunday night at Greeley's Island Grove Regional Park.

"I got the call at home and rushed to the hospital," said her brother, Jaime Santillan. "But she died before we could talk to her."

Police said an argument led to fights and the shooting.

"She was in the wrong place at the wrong time," said her sister-in-law, Rebecca Santillan.

Family members said they believe Santillan was killed by gang members. Two years ago, Greeley had six gang-related homicides.

At the Santillan home on Monday, dozens of friends and family members gathered to show support for the victim's parents.

Her brother, Jaime, spoke for the family: "Sylvia was a very outgoing, independent woman and a good mother. She graduated from the Aims High School Program in 2005, and she had a good job and an apartment for her kids. She was just a good person."
