Discussions over whether to disband the Green Fire Dispatch Center and contract with the Summit County sheriff's department for service is creating controversy in the community.
Green resident Nelson Wallace, the Akron-Canton Regional Airport's fire chief for 33 years, is among those raising concerns about eliminating the local dispatching service.
Wallace said doing away with Green's dispatchers would be the worst decision council could make.
