LOL, just found the mods for the conventional stuff in GC.. And they added every Emissions Designation they could.... NXDN, DMR, P25, and Narrowband lol. Talk about overkill.

Western Greene only left off the DMR LOL!

haha So does this mean...

1) They didn't know what they were doing?
2) They don't know yet what they are going to?
3) The world ends December 12, 2015?

Crazy.

I have noticed that occasionally doing FCC searches. Some agencies or radio contractors apply for all EDs to cover whatever they finally decide to use. The FCC was supposed to have stopped that practice.

Basically what has happened is this:

All of the Paragould City Services have gone to Digital NexEDGE LTR Trunking on UHF, As has the EMS and Sheriff's Department, Rescue Squad and Road Department.

The County Fire Departments are all still VHF Conventional but have the NXDN capabilities. Eventually the entire county will be NXDN, There are no TRBO or OpenSky Radios in use in the county, One Department uses P25 but that's soon to change. I have no idea why they added all the emissions tags, The local radio dealer here everybody uses is Kenwood so it's obvious it will be NXDN when we all do decide to switch.
