It appears that this "fine, upstanding, just slightly misguided" young man, who had "had some brushes with the law but nothing significant" could not understand what was his and what was not his.

The initial call was from his own family who reported that he had taken his aunt's car without her knowledge and they wanted him stopped and arrested for "joy ridding.

The authorities located the "troubled and misunderstood" youth and attempted to stop him. It appears that this upstanding member of the community was not finished with his "joy ride" and a pursuit ensued.

Having not accurately honed his skills during pursuit driving, the "misunderstood" youth crashed the aunt's vehicle and then fled on foot.

While enjoying his open air run, this pillar of his generation came upon a parked cruiser to which an officer had secured, but failed to shut off. (This is an issue to which I am sure will result in the officer's suspension or termination.)

Not grasping the fact that this cruiser was not his, this "fine example of a properly raised" offspring decided he could borrow it. Using his universal key, i.e. busting the window out, reached in and unlocking his newly acquired transportation.

Once procured, his afternoon ride in the country continues.

It appears that in addition to the misappropriated vehicle, the "experienced" driver also was able to locate a shotgun inside the cruiser. (This assumption is based on the fact that nowhere previously had it been reported that a weapon was involved and that most law enforcement vehicle do contain a shotgun.) Not wanting to spoil the New Year celebration, he decided to liven the afternoon air up. What better way to do so than to expend a few rounds at you local law enforcement community during a "follow me" ride along the public roadways? This in addition to the loud, noise making device and the neat flashing lights he had become entranced in.

This new ride to which the “poor, misguided” individual had appropriated for himself, became disabled after running over some misplaced governmentally owned spike strips. This resulted in the failure of the vehicle’s ability to provide the performance to which it “operator” had become accustomed too.

Wanting to explain his dismay with the poor vehicle performance, it appears he exited the vehicle with his loud, bang making device and attempted to show his emphasized displeasure with the way his excursion had been terminated.

His pursuers, understanding exactly what this gentleman was saying, answered his appropriately and poignantly.

Follow-Up:

This "fine, upstanding, just slightly misguided" young man, who had "had some brushes with the law but nothing significant" Piece of $h^t got exactly what he disserved. His family wanted society to handle their failings. Society did. As a result, a police officer(s) has to deal with his/her own mental well being after having to use deadly force. The good side of this is we will never have to worry about this thief again.

These officers are the last bastions of defense this country has. Please remember to thank them for the job they do to the best of their abilities.

The Mighty O and his administration have shown their disrespect for the Law Enforcement community, as have the majority of the elected officials we currently have. Please don’t become one of them.
