A tragic end of the year as a Greensboro watch commander officer was shot and killed Saturday night in Greensboro. Police said the shooting happened at a Sheetz located on the 3200 block of Sandy Ridge Road in Greensboro.

Greensboro police issued a Blue Alert Saturday, but canceled it around 7:53 p.m., but have not yet confirmed if the suspects have been captured.

So sad. Our phone set off a Blue Alert with no details at first. We had no idea what a Blue Alert was. Then a second alert went out with details. I sure hope they catch who did this.

Having the alert cancelled seems to indicate they did catch them. For those with Premium Subscriptions link is below for 3:47pm - 4:17pm archive, traffic started 18:45 into archive. Very little traffic, ultimately switched to LE TAC 1 and were lost.
