Do the Greenville Constables still exist?

Just now on Orange County's Highband Polling Channel, I heard a unit identifying himself as "Greenville 91" calling central to say he 23 at the 41.

I'm assuming this is a Greenville Constable, considering Greenville has no PD of their own and the NYSP and OCSO do not identify in that manner; however I thought that department no longer existed?

Yes, they do still exist. There are two constables and they will call in to Central when they are in service.

Now that you mention it, I did remember seeing that on eastcoastscanning, but forgot about it, since I've never heard them before today.

Does anyone know how they work? I know normally, when a constable is not on Central immediatley assigns the call to SP Middletown to dispatch a troop car. When a constable is on, though, do they poll the call, or do the constables communicate with SP to get the call?
