Hey just curious if anyone happens to know. Watching Live PD and see greenville county sheriff units have these big white boxes on their cars and suvs? Anyone happen to know what they are for. Some kind of data. Just never seen anything that big except maybe some command units.

The Live PD vehicles I've seen have equipment installed for the live streams and it consisted of white boxes.

Why is Greenville so having 2 radios for are they in the process of switching to the digtal system

GCSO has two radios for Live PD purposes. Deputies are monitoring their typical area (Channel 1,2,3, etc.) but are primary on Regional (Channel 5). It is a switch in the event that these Live PD units receive an 'All Unit' call.

The purpose of being on Regional tonight is to prevent public from following 'Sierra' (SWAT) units with their scanner due to Live PD. Warrants are being served, more action, etc.

Channel 4 (460.55000) is a typical channel for Live PD units in Greenville for Friday/Saturday nights.
