On both here and on ECS, it lists the Greenwood Lake PD frequency as 155.490 . I am hearing a police department on this frequency, but it is clearly not Greenwood Lake. They make references to places that don't exist in GWL, they use the New Jersey phonetic alphabet, and they have a lot more activity.

Greenwood Lake PD does use that frequency with PL 88.5. Their base is identified as "594." Because they are a small village, you will not hear too much of them.

Over in Jersey, Newton PD is Sussex County uses that frequency as well as Little Ferry and the Boro of Palisades Park in Bergen County. You are probably hearing one of them. What PL are you getting ?

How can I find out PL tones? I don't think the Pro-2050 has that capability, and I'm not sure about the Pro-97.

The unit numbers are like 3604, 3609 etc.

Edit: Do you know when/if Warwick PD will take over Greenwood Lake dispatching? Supposedly it is going to happen "soon"

A great scanner...one of my favorites...

8,

a) 36## units are Newton Police IDs. They are using the frequency in question as a repeater output, with tone 146.2.

B) the Radio Shack PRO-97 will decode PLs and DPLs in the CT and DC modes respectively.
