Hi, I'm new to this cool forum. I'm glad I discovered it! I have had a multitude of scanners since about 1980, when I worked at a Radio Shack to put myself through college. I started out with the old Pro-2001 scanner. A big hunking made of steel RS rig that served me well for years.
I've also had a small crystal controlled handheld, and various programmable handhelds. My newest is a Pro-97. It rocks! It replaced a Pro-94, which was my first trunking scanner. I didn't like that the Pro-94 would only let me scan trunking or conventional, but not both at the same time.
The Pro-94 replaced another RS model that was non-trunking that I gave to my wife's aunt to use during her Sheriff SAR activities.
Out in the garage is another programmable handheld from RS, in a grey case. It is non-working, and probably not worth fixing.
Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself, and thank you all for the great database of freqs.
I'm in Northern California, and I'll be listening and reading!
