Grenada county MS

BCD996XT scanner. Free scan program. I can hear EMS, MHP, MDOT, Sheriff car to car and DISP, but for some reason I can't hear city traffic.. I can get on broadcastify and hear the city,,
I've used the EZ grab and imported from RR to FS,, Ive tried conventional and trunked up loaded to scanner and still can't hear!

BTW I've been high lighting the FREQ on RR and right click copy, then, import on FS and it fills in the blanks for me with all the FREQS,, somewhere here is where I'm doing something wrong,, I guess..

Are you in range of, and monitoring the Grenada site? Because it's unlikely the PD will show up on any of the bordering county sites.

Run Pro96Com on as many sites as you can receive and see if they using TDMA. Also, generally speaking, it would be nice to have some new site logs from your area.

Also be sure you are in ID Search mode, to discover any others that may have not been reported yet.

You're probably going wrong by using IE. Use Google Chrome or Firefox.

Main question is, you are a premium sub, so why not just download what you want.

I live in town, I'm only 1.5 miles from dispatch if I'm that far..

I'm new to this type of scanner,, I don't know WTF I'm doing..

I'll look into the pro 96

Best thing to do is just dive in, screw up, figure out how you screwed up, and try again. LOL

But seriously, start small. which it sounds like you're doing. Pick the one Grenada site, and just a few agencies, County, and MHP or MDOT maybe. Then build on what you learn from that. wash rinse repeat. With your premium sub you can download everything into FreeScan directly. Either by selecting just the pieces you want, or the entirety of MSWIN. Then even if you download the whole thing, you can still select only the pieces you want to write to the scanner.

It takes a little trial and error, but it's not that hard to learn. Main thing is just having the time to sit down with it and dive in.

Only thing I can come up with is the PD has updated.. Or I just haven't caught the problem.. Every other agency is working like a champ, thanks to RR.. I think I'll try to get up with the guy that has the set up on broadcastify, he has the city PD working for him.

It's PITA crazy..
