Anyone know about the Griffin 14, Griffin 16, Griffin 18 etc. aircraft operating out of Salt Lake. I think it is a flight school operation but I'm unable to find any info about those callsigns on the web. They are quite active on the Salt Lake aero freqs.
Well I think it is Westminister College Aviation Program. Westminister's mascot is a griffin (a mythical creature with the head and wings of an eagle and the body of a lion) so I guess that makes sense. I think they are using Cessna 172, and Piper Archer aircraft.
