Grosse Pointe Frequencies

Greetings-
I bought a BC796D and am having difficulties programming it. The
version 1.1 software that came with it is difficult to understand and
offers little in the way of explanation. I live in Grosse Pointe Park.
So.....

What program should I use to program it?
Is my area using a Motorola type I or II 800mhz system?

Any help would be appreciated.

Grosse Pointe Park is on the East Detriot System which is digital... not sure how it works but it looks like police dispatch is for all the agencies on this system which is talk group 16. This system is a 800 Type II APCO system. As for programming can't help ya, I'm a radio shack guy.

Grosse Pointe Park Freqs

The system is known as Eastern Wayne County Mutual Aid. The 5 Pointes and Harper Woods are on it. A friend programmed my radio using the Butel Software he had when I bought the radio.

It's the five Grosse Pointes plus Harper Woods- East Detroit changed it's name to Eastpointe a few years ago because people don't know the difference between Wayne county and Macomb (ie north of 8 MIle) Eastpointe PD in on with Rosevile.
