I have an older Grove beam I picked up in Brasstown several years ago. Actually I bought several. Sold them to people needing special installations. Mine is still in service. Gain is very good and azmeth lobe is sharp. I live in a Metro area and use it on a PRO-2006 with a CSI Tone finder. It has too much gain for my trunking scanners. I can see the 800MHz towers out my window and only use a 3" 1/4 wave for that. I use an ABC switch so I can utilize two other antennas on the 2006. I dont use a rotor. I've got it mounted where I can turn it manually standing on the ground. If you are having trouble receiving a special freq or system then this is your best shot. If you cant hear it on this beam it may never be heard. It requires RG-6 which is a good choice. Good Luck, Larry
