I am trying to fix an annoying issue with one of my Grundig G3 radios: perfect reception but slow clock. Eton support is not helpful, they say they don't have a schematic diagram for their radio, also claim that the clock quartz speed is always within specs and cannot be trimmed up or down just a little.
Product returns did not result in an overall better unit (seems like quality control variations) but I got another one with an accurate clock but less good reception. So now I want to transplant the accurate clock quartz from there into my perfect reception unit. Looking at the circuit board I see several quartz oscillators. Does anyone happen to know which quartz oscillator would be the clock quartz - as opposed to the radio reception HF oscillators (which I don't want to touch) ?
