i don't have a trunking scanner yet
Then its a simple answer = you won't be monitoring any northstar , southstar , marine police , regular(troopers OFF of the parkway & turnpike) patrols. You see you can only monitor units involved with parkway & tunrpike patrols on these freqs and the reception is adequate for my needs. That is why I put them in my mobile scanner because it does NOT have trunk tracking capabilty. To
PROPERLY monitor the NJSP you need a
TRUNK TRACKER scanner.Glad to hear the freq you plugged in worked for you.
BTW-Since we are on this GSP subject,Who can remember before the 800mhz trunk system was installed.I remember the OLD vhf high band GSP repeater system.
Garden State Parkway - Dispatch North 154.9050
Garden State Parkway - Dispatch South 155.5050
Garden State Parkway - Car to Car 154.9500
I remember ordering a crystal for 154.905mhz to put in the mobil to monitor the PARKWAY POLICE north system. The regular NJSP patrols were on the VHF LOW BAND . Some images of NJSP patrol vehicles with the ALMIGHTY TRIANGLE on the front doors.

The History of the NJ State Police
"In 1975, the traditional black and white troop cars would enter the history books with the boots and breeches and motorcycles. An all white patrol car would emerge as the principle troop vehicle.
The first compliment of all white Plymouths had no other markings than the “triangle” on the door and the words “State Police” on the trunk and hood. After realizing how plain looking the cars were, chevrons were added to all car doors and the decal “State Police” added to the right front fender. In 1978, this decal was replaced by “State Trooper.”"
Sorry , Could not find a photo or image of early NJSP motorcycle patrol units.
