Recently acquireed a GT-3 Boafeng. I have had a UV-3 for almost 3 years and had nho problems so I decided to try a new one. So far , it functions good, fit and finish is good. Unit is a slight bit taller and thicker than my Yaesu vx-7, doesn't have have the channel storage capacity and you have no alpha text abilities . For $48.00 I can not complain. Programnming, by hand was hard, took a fww hours to get basic programming firgued out. Would like to hear from others what they have observed with their radios. This unit is the GT-3 Mark II, which is basically a UV-5 with a diffierent chip or two.
