Hi folks,
I am curious if anybody has any detailed in-sight on the codes used by the PD (they are all 4-digits) and the FD (They use Codes and Signals) for either town since they appear to be the same. I have lived in this area for about 4 years now and have compiled a fragmented and workable list but year after year I have come up empty with trying to find the complete or definitive list via online research or requests such as this. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance for any and all hints!
Here's some PD code examples of those that are pretty straightforward:
2300's - Operational
2300 On the Air
2301 Off the Air
2302 Call via phone
2304 Come to the station
2396 Clear, In-Service
2399 Back-up another Officer
3000's - Motor Vehicle
3001 Motor Vehicle Stop
3002 Parking Violation
3003 MV Accident w/ Evading Vehicle
3004 MV Accident (Fatal)
3005 MV Accident (Injuries)
3006 MV Accident (No Injuries)
3007 MV Accident (On Private Property)
3010 Registration Check
As for the FD, here's what I have from listening over the years:
Code 1 - Fire Emergency
Code 2 - Medical Emergency
Signal 12 - In Service
Signal 71 - ?? Returning to station? (Usually used with "I am 12, 71")
Signal 80 - Event Under Control / Terminated
Thanks,
-MikeMike
