I recently moved my friequency lists to my online scanner site, and have updated them as well. I've added some new frequencies to them, found some more freqs in use at Keesler, and I'm still currently searching the bands for more comms.

Hey Nexus.. a correction for ya- MHP does not have 42.2200... Car to Car is 42.2000....

You may have that mixed up with Statewide Lo Band of 45.2200.. possibly typoed it when you first made your listing.

Also 45.3500 is invalid- its 45.3200 for the MHP Repeater nets.

Nexus, thanks for the list.

Being from McComb, I'll use them when I get down there.

Morning milf!

No I haven't heard. As you know, Hammond, La. PD uses 155.58. Recently, when Franklin Co SO went highband, 155.6175, that frequency is so close to MBN's 155.625 it really interfers with MBN local work.

McComb and Pike Co. are just about to centralize radio communications from a building on Parklane Road. Probably has something to do with that. I don't think they are going to change any existing frequencies or systems.

I just hope that we don't run into another so close together snafu like with Franklin SO.

Yep it was causing issues on both 155.6100, and 155.6250.. so FCSO went to a DPL tone.. MBN/MBI now use PL of 97.4 for the tac/car to car ops.. and have begun using encryption almost 90% of the time....

As for whats up.. I will have my best friend call Rich and see if he can legally say what the plan is.

Milf, a followup

I just got off the phone with our Chief of Police who advised me that 155.58 repeater has been in use here from shortly after he became chief (10 years +/-). It somehow is used to repeat MPD's 453.875/453.700 UHF PD frequencies. All they are doing is moving it to the new communicatios center.

I just added a bunch of Keesler AFB frequencies, and I'm sure it'll be getting updated every couple of days, as I'm currently focusing in on their comms.

btw, Ocean Springs PD is using 155.5800 as well.

These would be the two closest to your area of interest.

You should also be able to hear a lot of USCG ops, including Helo/Cutter ops,... and other USCG aviation out of N.O., and all along the Gulf Coast.
Also USN aviation doing runs along the coast, and back and forth from N.O. and Meridian.

Also of course the USCG marine ops, and port ops there in the Gulfport/Biloxi area.

Pike County has liscence to use 155.5875. McComb is the primary city in Pike County.

Its bordering Tangipahoa parish, in which sits the city of Hammond.. and 155.5800 is close to that freq..... though if proerly modulated there will be no interference.

yeah, for the most part. From time to time you can hear either one side or both sides not encrypted. But in the last few days I've been finding a lot of stuff that isn't using neither apco-25 or encrypted. Also Keesler has no control over anyone outside of their fence line so no one is coming after me. Besides I live less than 2 miles and work less than 1 mile from the base so I can hear anything on base without any trouble.

Thanks for the mil air freqs.

hey darren thanks for the help id'ing some of those freqs.

I'm pretty sure the 149.2500 is going to be on keesler though. The signal strenght on my yaesu was 100% solid, and nothing 30 miles away from me (distance of Pascagoula NAVSTA) would be that strong especially being simplex.

I've been finding several unknown frequencies for keesler this week. The last time I really was active in scanning them was when I was with security police back in the early 90's. Thats been several years now and although most of their ops have not changed frequencies, some have, and some new ones have popped up.

Just today I found a new repeater on there on 141.6000 which by the comms sounds like it's a Student Squadron's net. I heard callsigns like 338 and 334, both of those are unit numbers... 334th TTKG and 338th TTKG. And talking about "airmen" so I'm almost sure its some net freq for the verious student squadrons to communicate.

today at 12:44 PM I was hearing traffic on 260.2000 AM...

RAZOR 24 was talking to BLADE ?? (couldn't get the numbers) about his location and once he got a fix advised him that he was about 60 miles behind him.

Interestingly, according to http://www.milaircomms.com/mil_callsigns.html

RAZOR = USAF E-8C JSTARS Robins AFB 93ACW/93TS (FE)
BLADE = USMC F/A-18A VMFA-115

I do frequently see F/A-18's flying over the gulf. JSTARS is a satellite system. E-8 is an ewacs aircraft.

A lot of the time now you will see joint forces training ops.. especially along the coastal areas.. When I lived in Charleston, SC.. I listened to USAF AWACS, and USAF F-16's doing ops with USMC F/A-18's, with USN F/A-18's and F-14's, USMC interceptor watercraft, USN destroyers, USCG choppers/cutters, and USMC Cobras doing "Terrorist Interception" Drills.

Also loved hearing the USCG and all local LEA's interopping on the Charleston County TRS for special security details for the Cooper River, Ashely River zones.
