Yes mates, it's that time of year again; stolen mobile phones, public intoxication, possession of weed, and a lot of amazingly awful "music." Yes, the one and only Hangout Festival is here! Security seems to be on the Gulf Shores Special Events TG (22196) on AIRS, with some activity (I think it's this event) on 27993. I have also heard chatter on the Nexedge Patch TG 1403.

22196 is BC Law 3 and 27993 is BC Ops 3. There is a total of 4 BC Law (22194-22197) channels and 4 BC Ops (27991-27994) channels. And there are 5 BC Fire channels (20191-20195)

Saturday was a full day a mayhem with things wrapping up today. This year, it appears the event is active on the "threes."

BC Law 3 (AIRS 22196)
BC Fire 3 (AIRS 20193)
BC Ops 3 (AIRS 27993)

Gulf Shores FD Lifeguards (AIRS 21201) were also active warding off attempts of would be concert-goers from storming the beach to gain entry without paying.

Listen for "Fire Com" for medical emergencies on 20193 and "Ops" for all manner of stuff on 27993. "Strike Teams" comprised of police and deputies are dispatched to interdict suspicious activity on 22196. You'll recognize the dispatcher voices from Baldwin Central.

The National Guard posted a medical helicopter at the airport and made several passes but without any radio activity.

Foley PD was providing prisoner transportation so there was an equal amount of multicast traffic on the Nexedge system.

All of the other talkgroups in the area were active as well including those for Orange Beach PD and FD, Gulf Shores FD and PD (encrypted), South Fire, MedStar, and many more.

Good info, mate! I recall last year hearing many reports of stolen mobile phones, newscasts later revealed an organised gang of illegal alien phone thieves were working the crowd. This year I learned what a "10-56" is, lol.

Yep and those are just the folks that actually made it to the beach. BCSO and ALEA arrested many on Thursday for drugs and other stuff, just on the way there. People will never learn.
