Hi All-

Until recently, Gunnison law enforcement has been on the same VHF, analog frequencies for all local traffic (excluding CSP). These frequencies (as listed in the RR database), have gone silent. There are Talkgroups for Gunnison set up on the Colorado DTRS, but they are rarely used , and I still don't hear any traffic on the DTRS. My question is, does anyone know where they migrated to?

From the looks of it everything is on DTRS (State of Colorado DTRS Trunking System, Statewide, Multi-State - Scanner Frequencies).

If the right control channels are not entered, you may not receive any Gunnison traffic. Do you have 853.750, 853.650, 853.450, 852.6625 and 859.3875 entered as control channels? These are all located in Gunnison. There may be other towers closer to your location.

Dug into my programming..... the closest tower to me is the W Mtn tower. I had 853.750 as the control channel and also had 853.5375, 853.300, and 852.225, but did not have 851.6875. Once I added 851.6875, I can now hear the local PD again. Looks like they finally made the move to digital.

851.6875 is not in red or blue, whats up with that?? Could it be allocated for just local traffic?

There is only one control channel in use at any given time for each site. Possibly the control channel has changed to the 851.6875 frequency?
Not real sure, was able to listen to all sorts of traffic before adding this additional frequency, but now can hear the local broadcasts that have migrated from the old VHF analog.
