Hackensack will STILL be dispatched on 154.3850 the new UHF and 7.5 Hz split frequencies are for fireground purposes only.

Justin,

I'm not quite sure you get so belligerent whenever I post anything, however the dispatch on 154.3850 is simulcasted on 453.5625 from headquarters and the UHF is on a stand-alone basis.

I am just explaining it better I am not being belligerent. All I did in this thread was pose a question. He asked if Hackensack was still dispatching on 154.3850 and I said yes. I mentioned nothing about you. Why are you defensive?

465,

I'm stumped. Which is it? Is 453.5625 (a UHF frequency) being used to simulcast 154.385 or is it a stand-alone UHF channel?

You have to have a scanner that is capable of doing the step size. The Uniden 780XLT will do it and pretty much all newer scanners. If you have an old scanner and you want to listen to the Hackensack fireground 3 frequency 151.4225 PL 100.0 you would enter 151.4250, even though its not exactly on frequency most scanners will not have a problem tuning it in. You may have some audio degradation because its most likely in narrowband.

The initial dispatch is the only thing that is simulcasted. The UHF system is as far as can be told, is a stand alone system used for their high-rise repeater.

As for Justin, there needn't be an exclamation point at the end of every reply to one of my postings to make your point. We still believe you...

if you use dpl 306 and 606 thats the crossband repeater out of yorktown heights in westchester (46.26 > 453.5625)... but the hackensack uhf has pretty decent coverage
