HAFB Upgrade.

I have been informed that HAFB is now part of the United States Air Force Nationwide System. All new Sites and TGs. United States Air Force (3D6) Trunking System, Various, Multi-State
And so the fun begins again. (I've already got several additional Sites and few TGs identified.-but not yet submitted)

They had their own P25 Trunk System. Hill Air Force Base Trunking System, Various, Utah
They are now on the USAF System. Only Site 2 of the old system, is operational, at this time, with no traffic.

I worked at HAFB for 38 years and noticed the radios go from VHF/UHF analog to all UHF. Next, they went trunked. Then they went to all digital P25. When visiting squadrons came to HAFB, they would have to have radios reprogrammed to work on their system. Now with a single AF trunked system, there should be less reprogramming. The exceptions will be when non USAF units deploy here (USMC and foreign air forces such as Netherlands)

Here is a comparison of the local freqs from the HILL & USAF systems. I don't see any freqs that match old site 3.
There are two additional sites for us to discover, 86 & 87. The HAFB sites are shown on top with the USAF sites below them.

why does 84 and 85 match or the same in your list there, with the same frequencies?

all those sites are in different areas still right? like before? they can't all be Davis? if some sites were in other areas for coverage like Salt Lake or tooele sites or something.. 8 sites for 1 area?

Until I looked up the old HAFB System on Monday, I wasn't aware of sites UTTR NE Range, and UTTR SW Range.
Years ago when HAFB got it's first trunked system, the base published a document that identified the original four sites:
HAFB Golf Course, SL Federal Bldg, Cedar Mountain & Grassy Mountain.
