Has anybody ever seen IV during Halloween?

Anybody know if it's only UCPD & Goleta PD or is there CHP and SBPD or SB Sheriffs?

Any interop frequencies?

From what I've heard, there are 100k+ people roaming the streets.

The Amtrak trains from SD and SLO are pretty full of kids on their way too....usually standing room only.....

after living there for the college years.. it was pretty fun.

UCPD, SBSO, CHP & Search and Rescue come together as the "Isla Vista Foot Patrol. They operate on their own channels, but monitor eachother.

SAR will set up about 2-3 command posts at various intersections of the city. IVFP usually will "clump" and walk in groups of 4-5. I used to scan them when I was up there, and just remember pure chaos.

I worked out there a couple years when I was an Explorer with the SO. It is CRAZY, but no where near as bad as it was 15-20 years ago (which is scary considering how bad it is now).

The IV Foot Patrol is made up of UCPD and SBSO deputies. CHP used to be a part but I think they pulled out. SBPD doesn't help during Halloween because downtown Santa Barbara is where a lot of people go to get drunk before getting the bus back to IV to party some more.

When I was there they used SBSO Yellow (channel 2) as the command channel and another channel for tac, but I can't remember which one that was.
